2022 NFL Offseason Thread

Super Bowl has been over for over four hours now. Time to move on!

Lots of movement expected this offseason.

Looks like Aaron Rodgers and the Packers have made up, but Russell Wilson, Kirk Cousins and Jimmy Garoppolo could all be on the move.

The combine is in three weeks and Free Agency is 30 days away (March 16).

August is closer than you think.

Very few teams have more cap space for 2022 than Cincinnati, but will an owner notorious for penny-pinching allow them to take advantage to try to get them over the top? Or will they insist that the team was good enough to come close this season, so why spend more? History suggests it will be the latter, but maybe they will surprise us.

I have heard some criticism of him today, which drives me nuts. He took a beating in that second half. At one point, it looked like he might have suffered another serious knee injury. He is a tough kid. He's going to try to hang in there. That's going to get him hurt unless they put some serious resources into that offensive line.

If the Bengals are smart, they take note of what the Chiefs did to their OL in one year. If they’re stupid they add more WRs (like Lions).

To be fair, the decision to add one more wide receiver worked out quite well for them this season. You could have argued against it given that they already had Boyd and Higgins, but Chase is special.

Also, pending free agents, what spot on Cincy's roster are you like -- man, they really need an upgrade. They are set at all the skill positions on offense and they just added to that defense in the off-season and they have a reliable kicker. There is only one glaring weakness to focus on in the draft / free agency.

Sorry. I figured that was what you meant. I just meant that they took a bit of a calculated risk there. The offensive line was bad last year and they clearly didn't do enough to fix it for this season, but Chase was just too good to pass up.

Cardinals, 49ers, Seahawks, Falcons, Panthers, Broncos, Raiders, Bills, Cowboys.

In general, they stay away from divisional matchups in the kickoff game, though it's happened. And usually it's a rematch from the previous season's playoffs, so Rams-49ers would be good. Cowboys did it this year at Tampa. How about the Broncos if Rodgers goes to Denver in the offseason?

I could see the Bills as something different but it almost certainly will be the Cowboys -- no matter the channel the first week or two if you can get the Cowboys in a prime spot you do it.

NBC gets the kickoff game, then the next week it switches over to Amazon. The Rams and whoever they play will play another Thursday game during the season on the short week.

Anyone have an opinion on which stadium is "better" - Allegient or SoFi? People talk a lot about SoFi in terms of design, but they talk about Allegient as a better place to watch a game. Curious if anyone has been to both.
The light at SoFi is great, but there seems to be so much going on around the game, a lot of noise and flashing lights (I say this as someone who has only watched games on TV) - while Allegient has natural grass and seems less cluttered.
