Was looking at the Forum Stats page and saw where we now have 2,001,078 posts.

With an average posts per day of 1,303, that means sometime yesterday someone had the two millionth post in SportsJournalists.com history (or at least since records have been kept since the previous site flame-out). Maybe we can characterize that as the modern era of SportsJournalists.com in a fashion similar to baseball history.

So, wonder who had the milestone post? And was it pithy, thought provoking or snarky?

In other statistical news, of the top 10 posted topics; only 3 have anything to do with sports--and they are the fantasy baseball thread, an NHL thread and an EA Sports College Football thread.

Oh, and the male/female remains a sausage-fest laden 8.3:1. Maybe we need to do a Ladies Night promotion.

Here was the 2 millionth post thread:

So there's an official record book and an unofficial record book? It's all quite confusing. Maybe we need to bring in the Elias Sports Bureau to clean things up.

Keep us posted as we near 3 million....

I thought this was a thread to congratulate Dooley or BYH. :D

Not even Dooley is good for 2 million post pads and BYH only has 1.99 million Night Ranger references in his repertoire.

Hell, beej has five million Family Guy references he has yet to hit us with.

IJAG just threw herself on a flaming pyre and knows exactly why.

Because someone quoted Seinfeld in a post?

(And remember: The Human Fund. Money for People)

I didn’t know she had a pony. How was I to know she had a pony? Who figures an immigrant’s going to have a pony? Do you know what the odds are on that? I mean, in all the pictures I saw of immigrants on boats coming into New York harbor, I never saw one of them sittin’ on a pony. Why would anybody come here if they had a pony? Who leaves a country packed with ponies to come to a non-pony country? It doesn’t make sense. Am I wrong?

I cannot envision any circumstance in which I’ll ever have the opportunity to have sex again.

Not just any fantasy baseball thread. The NIAFL thread.

Remember, there is the NIAFL and there is everyone else.

It's easier to play golf at Augusta than it is to be invited to the NIAFL.

Well, if we get a newbie on here the likes of Carrie Bradshaw or Flash, we should crack 5 million sometime on Tuesday Night.

Good Heavens; When those two first signed on, it was like an avalanche of posts.
