Paragraph 3 is pure, unadulterated bull****, but I have no interest in getting into a pissing match over that part.

You have no interest in getting into a pissing match? You've been trying to provoke them for more than a year. Show me ONE ****ING TIME that I have gone on a thread and attributed some bull**** to you, the way you have continually do with me. I have never done a "Dyepack believes" or "Dyepack says" post. Show me all the threads that I have followed you into, in order to insult you.

More lies.

I'd miss seeing your bull**** every day if I did that.

So tell me -- what exactly did you prove on the Balco thread? You -- and many others -- never did come up with a response to the argument the prosecution is likely going to present. That would seem to be sort of, you know, the main issue.

Now you'll present a bunch of hypothetical bull**** to conceal your lack of a response.

I made several well, thought out posts on the Balco thread. They speak for themselves. Anyone reading this, can go right over to that thread and see for themselves. Dozens of other people who posted on that thread understood what I typed, agreed and weighed in with their thoughts. You, on the other hand, made absolutely no sense. Not just me. It was every ****ing person on the thread. Their responses are all there for everyone to go see. I did my best to discuss it with you intelligently. You acted like an asshole and wouldn't speak on point. And you skipped the intelligent discussion and started acting like a nasty troll. I'm done trying to have discussions with you. It's impossible, because you are a ****wad. What sucks is that your ego was so bruised that since then, you've been stalking me all over the board being a nasty ****. Why not just go the **** away? I'll say it again. I haven't engaged you on any thread since Balco. All this crap starts with you.

Re: 15 seconds from beating off. Phew.

I was precisely on point -- the argument the prosecution is using.

You and your fellow nitwits used the usual illogical newsroom philosophy -- ignore the argument and present a lot of hypotheticals that somehow "prove" your point.

Also, the rest of what you say is bull****. Since I know you'll continue to spout it, I looked through your posts (which is a brain-killing experience if there ever was one) and found at least three examples that prove you a liar. The Marv Albert thread is home to at least two of them.

Now, I'm through rehashing "who started what."

Unless you have a response to the main Balco issue -- whether the grand jury testimony was public when the writers gained access to it -- then I think you're down to your same old blathering.

Well, if there aint' going to be any rules, let's get the fight started. Someone count. 1,2,3 go.

I can't repost the whole thread, but here's a sampling of the responses to Dyepack on the Balco thread. I'll even leave my contributions out of it. I could post a dozen more responses calling him an idiot, but I hit the maximum word count. Go to the actual thread to read the record of him posting irrational thoughts and acting like an asshole to garner these types of responses:

Dyejob, just stay on the canvas, dude. You've been knocked the **** out around 12 times by 10 different posters. Common sense, in this case, is the better part of valor.

This thread hasn't been all bad, though. There have been several cogent arguments -- none of them coming from you, incidentally -- which have helped heighten my understanding of the subject at hand.

You're very good at sarcasm and general nastiness, but apparently you have trouble answering questions so I'll try once more: What laws did they break to get that info?

Billy Pritchard said:
DyePack, this is not meant to be antogonistic, but I don't get your position. What is a reporter supposed to do when given this information, just sit on it and hope somebody else doesn't get it?
I'm not a wily veteran of the biz, so I'm just looking for another view about what the Chron guys should have done.

Dyepack - If you hate this industry so much, and have such a degree of contempt for those involved in it, why do you frequent here?

Because to be truly miserable, you need an outlet to ruin life for others.. hence, the little cross we all bear --- our boy fudgepack...

Ralph Waldo Henderson said:
You haven't answered the question, dicksnort, because you can't: The reporters broke no laws. The source obviously did, but not the reporters. But we get it, you hate the media even though you used to be a member of it, ya ya ya.

Ralph Waldo Henderson said:
You're such an interesting debater. Sometimes you make salient points, sometimes you just name-call, and sometimes - like in this instance - you pronounce yourself the winner of the argument you wish wish we were having, instead of the one we actually are.

Returning his own serve again.
Near as I can tell, the whole argument here centers on whether or not the reporters broke the law by publishing the information.
If so, please cite the applicable statute.
(And find another cliche, OK? "Drinking the Kool-Aid" is a couple of decades out of style. Actual reporters would know that.)

Deskgrunt50 said:
Please tell me Dye's half-assed argument isn't because he's a fan of Bonds.

Bottom line is these reporters did an outstanding job, a job their president urged them to do. A job without which the foundations of this country are in serious trouble. Hopefully the stories were run on pages with a very attractive design.

But most important, Dye needs to find a better, more up-to-date "insult" than "drinking the Kool-Aid."

That was interesting/funny for about 5 minutes, a decade ago.

This is what happens when you cut up your arguments and throw them in front of an electric fan.

Another attack on Dye'p and another Dye'p against-the-ropes defense. Quite stimulating to read.

DyePack made eight posts in a row on this page? Wow. That probably breaks Columbo's mark.

I know it's "Kool-Aid" central, but you should take a look. It explains things in a way even Dye Pack could understand: http://www.markandlance.org/faq.html.

WTF? Do you actually know how shield laws work? ... And, in fact, it IS factually incorrect to state "it's contempt of court when someone unseals the record."

I'm officially ignoring the twirp now. Let him stalk me around the board and make **** up about me.

That's funny; I don't see a response to the main Balco issue.

Oh, that's right; there wasn't one.

Just like I said you would -- ignore the argument, present a lot of hypotheticals. Today's newsroom strategy. Somehow I think it will fail in federal court, though.

That's cool. I'm not really a biblical sort. Hope you won't hold it against me. Alexander Hamilton is something of a hero to me. Ask JR and FB.

I just like his pictures -- as many as possible, in my wallet

And someone needs to explain to fudgepack, in terms he can understand, that Ragu's post on how others view fudgepack have nothing to do with the BALCO argument. In very clear and concise words, Ragu's stated "I could post a dozen more responses calling him an idiot, but I hit the maximum word count. Go to the actual thread to read the record of him posting irrational thoughts and acting like an asshole to garner these types of responses"

To which fudgepack, to use his own words "ignore the argument" countered, "That's funny; I don't see a response to the main Balco issue." (EDITOR'S NOTE: Not taking this out of order; the main response was the BALCO issue).

fudgepack, you are truly Exhibit A of the saying, "a little knowledge is a dangerous thing..."

When I'm in a city and I want a pint, I find a nice pub. There's no such thing as a nice bar in this tiny town in the middle of nowhere. All the drinking establishments are rough places. Of course no one's forcing me to go to them, but I do on occasion, anyway.

What superhero is Ragu?

I"M going to kick your ass for posting that thing. I wasted 20 minutes on it already.

Hey, that's a neat retort... a clear response is followed with the function equivalent of "you suck..."
