Accurate. In fact, it's so accurate that one night last winter, I happened to catch a WPT tournament on TV and it resparked my interest in playing. I made my way to the casino a few times and I was getting more back into it when COVID hit and killed off the idea of playing in a casino regularly. With the sudden rise of Zoom, I wound up creating a virtual poker room with my friends who all used to play together 15-20 years ago. Now we have a regular Monday night game, with a few new names and faces, and I've gotten quite a bit better at online poker. I think it will really help my casino game whenever that happens again, but more importantly, I reconnected with some old friends and we have a solid group of ball busters slinging chips.*This news took me back 15 years, when I'd have a regular kitchen-table game with coworkers, make the occasional run to a live game at the Florida dog and horse tracks and pretty much be watching WSOP/WPT the rest of the time -- not unlike a lot of dudes my age. Then kids came along and that was essentially the end of my poker life. But Sexton's voice marked that period.
