Watching SportsCenter (LAY OFF ME!!!) and Sal Paolanotoniorhoweverthehellyouspellhisname is reporting on Michael Vick's debut for the Eagles tomorrow night. Apparently Vick will be plenty busy before kickoff as he's attending his bankruptcy hearing in Virginia.

His flight to Phllly won't land until..........4:20 pm. Hope that Aquafina bottle is nice and full, Mike!

Oh, you mean he has real life bull**** to deal with before going to work --FOR A ****ING PRACTICE GAME.
Gee, that never happens to anybody else.

Flight lands at 4:20, kickoff is what, 7 or 8, plenty of time to get there.

More overhyped ESPN bull****.

Did Sal say whether they'd be serving snacks on the flight?

If the flight doesn't land until 4:20 he probably won't be having any snacking urges during the flight. Peter King better hope his daughter isn't buying the last bag of yogurt covered pretzels at the airport gift shop.

Guess you don't know what 4:20 means and why at least one other person here thinks it's funny in relation to Vick.

If he did, he might lighten up, eh?

(There's a thread in there somewhere ...)

The ride from PIA to the Linc is less than 30 minutes. He's got plenty of time. I'm more concerned with his getting out of Norfolk. The traffic can be a ***** in the afternoon plus there is no telling how long he'll be in court.

The PETA people apparently read SportsJournalists.com. I saw a "Hide your beagle, Vick's an Eagle" sign in the video ESPN used last night.

Wasn't there a time when Vince Carter was criticized for attending UNC graduation the morning of a game? And now we are all rooting for Vick to make it from bankruptcy court.

I'm convinced that most sportswriters should just STFU.

spnited on pot: 'When I was your age, we still used pica poles! Heh heh heh ... pole.'

Before Game 7 of a playoff game against the 76'ers. Raptors lost.

VC may be the most despised athlete in Toronto history. As a matter of fact, I can't think of the person who comes in second.

That's a lot of hockey, football, basketball and baseball history

Yes, Carter was wrongly criticized by media. In 2001, he attended a Raptors' practice on Saturday in Philadelphia and then flew down to North Carolina for his graduation. He attended part of his graduation on Sunday morning, headed off to the airport and arrived on time for a pregame team meeting that started at noon, five-and-half hours before game time.

Nope she's buying a blanket and some head phones so her dad can't hear.

Vince Carter was the poster boy in Toronto for the self-centred entitled athlete.

This little incident was just symbolic of his Vince-as-Centre of the Universe attitude and yup, the media and the fans turned on him.

He also played like **** in game 7 and missed a fairly makeable buzzer beater that would have given the Raptors the win and the series.

And then, after the game, he more or less said, "Big ****ing Deal"

The criticism was entirely justified.
