ESPN's Jemele Hill recommends 'batteries' for Brett Favre in Green Bay

Colleague Tom Weir points out that ESPN's Jemele Hill had a questionable suggestion for Green Bay Packers fans who will welcome Brett Favre back to Lambeau Field this year.

To Packers fans she said on First Take:

"Listen to me, okay? If you have a shred of pride you will give Brett Favre the Duracell treatment when he comes to Lambeau Field."

The Duracell treatment, what's that?

"Batteries! Batteries!"

ESPN issued a statement that Hill apologized for what she conceded were "inappropriate" comments.

c'mon, folks, the crap she has gotten away with on that stupid tv segment and in her columns is incredible. jemele has come to represent a whole lot that has gone incredibly wrong with any journalistic standards any of us have held dear.

yeah, i know those "standards" are being held together by a dying business but what leg do her legion of supporters have left to stand on at this juncture?

She's used up ALL of her mulligans.
