Left. Right. In a box by the door.
Started playing with the Find Your Spot link posted on Jones' attempt-to-find-someplace-to-live running thread (which I didn't want to detract from), and after I filled out the questionnaire it gave me this list. Places I would actually consider living are boldfaced.

Baton Rouge, La.
Little Rock, Ark.
Lafayette, La.
Honolulu
El Lay
San Diego
Alexandria, La.
Monroe, La.
The OC
Long Beach, Calif.
Las Vegas
Fayetteville, Ark.
Shreveport, La.
Oakland, Calif.
San Bernadino, Calif.
Las Cruces, N.M.
Baltimore
West Palm Beach
El Cajon, Calif.
Riverside, Calif.
Kailua-Kona, Hawaii
Portland, Ore.
Orlando
Jacksonville, Fla.

I can only assume that the Louisiana real estate industry is secretly funding that web site. ::) What they came up with was barely in the ballpark for me.

So what's that site list as "your spot?" Would anything on its list actually fit your definition of "your spot?"

Vegas was number one for me and when I get out of this industry by the start of the next spring semester at UNLV, I will be back there in grad school

Apparently I need to move to Wisconsin. There were seven towns there on my list.

You're a socialist. You'll fit right in. Few Quakers, though.

Their list, my "I would even consider it" places in bold:

Amarillo, Texas
Lubbock, Texas
Hampton, Va.
Wilmington, Del.
Greenville, N.C.

Rocky Mount-Stony Creek, N.C.
Lansing, Mich.
Dayton, Ohio
Great Falls, Mont.
Louisville, Ky.
Richmond, Va.
Raleigh, N.C.
Alexandria, Va.

Cedar Rapids, Iowa
New Brunswick, N.J.
St. Cloud, Minn.
Norfolk, Va.
Eden Prairie, Minn.
Reston, Va.
Greensboro, N.C.
Lincoln, Neb.
Evansville, Ind.
Durham, N.C.
Iowa City, Iowa

And none of those would even have been in my top 20.

I got a whole bunch of California, Louisiana and Florida places but it did pick out Eugene and Corvallis, Oregon. I figure either one of those would be pretty cool.

I was the one who posted that on Jones' thread.

I've played with that site for a few months now. Some questions really throw off the results. There are a few towns in Colorado that really interest me, but no Colorado locations show up on my list. I'm guessing because I picked the answer about enjoying hot summers and humidity not bothering me.

Knoxville, Tenn.
Cincinnati
Charleston, S.C.
Norfolk, Va.
Jacksonville, Fla.
Houston
Little Rock, Ark.
Gainesville, Fla.
Biloxi, Miss.
Bloomington, Ind.
Tallahassee, Fla.
Greenville, S.C.
Nashville, Tenn.
Roanoke, Va.
Johnson City, Tenn.
Cleveland
Orlando, Fla.
Baton Rouge, La.
Chattanooga, Tenn.
Augusta, Ga.
Chesapeake, Va.
Asheville, N.C.
Charleston, W.Va.
Fayetteville, Ark.

Apparently I should be living in Tennessee or Virginia.

How could Johnson City come up as anyone's "perfect place?" That town is such a ****hole.

Ha! She-vegas! ... Good golfing nearby. That's pretty much it.

What were the others?

I get a lot of North Carolina and ... Texas.

Ain't no way I want any part of Texas.

But, but, there's great attractions like the Man Cave.
