Where to go

Hey everybody. I'll be staying in the Northeast this summer, and I know absolutely nothing about the area. Outside of going to Sox and Yankees games, which I already plan on doing, what are some essential things for me to do while I'm up here? Thanks in advance!

Seriously, it depends what you want to do. The Northeast maybe small, but there is a lot to do. You have the big city amenities of places like Boston, Providence....Beaches in Rhode Island. Hampton beach, New Hampshire is nice, close to Boston and outlet shopping in Maine...
New York has the Adirondacks, Hudson River valley...Connecticut has the Casinos. Depends on what you're looking to do.

Vermont and New Hampshire. Come and take a canoe or kayak ride along the Connecticut River. Plus, there are all sorts of mountains here to hike. Montreal is 2 hours away; you can go see the Stanley Cup they snookered away from the Kings in '93. Burlington, Vermont, is a hopping town, as in Manchester, N.H.

There are a ton of wineries up that way by the Finger Lakes. Do the waterfalls in Ithaca. I have never been to Walden's Pond, but I have heard that is nice.

Drive up a mountain and look at the clear stars at night.

Go fly fishing in the Delaware River at Hancock, NY and be sure to get a chicken Speedie sandwich at Lydia's Tavern.
