I tracked it. It only made me feel sympathy because I'm dealing with this:

low 70s, high clouds, max. humidity around 40 percent.

I was at a funeral today, which I found out about at about 11:30 last night. Holy moly did that suck. My darkest suit it's a sauna outside. Blah. I was thinking about this thread.

It is supposed to be 104 here today. It is 92 at my house already. I don't live on the equator.

I just checked weather.com for Seattle and it is going to be low 60s for the high and low 50s and into the 40s for the low.

I cannot wait.

I need to find a 70s/50s climate for retirement. I hate cold. I hate heat. I hate being old.

It's funny, I was driving around this morning in the gray, upper-50s weather and said to my wife, "I hope it gets nice before next weekend when everybody's here." But then I realized that a bunch of you are probably in summer hell and will love it.

Kind of on a side note...

If I ever coach a little league team, no way in hell will they wear a dark color.

I saw a news clip today of a team in navy blue shirts playing outside (100 degrees with about 65% humidity). What parks and rec leagues still allow dark shirts is beyond me.

I don't know if I've ever been as hot as I was yesterday at the ballgame. We had great seats, about eight rows behind the dugout. And we baked. Water at $4 a bottle actually seemed like a bargain.
Today will be hotter but I will be in my air conditioned office.

Worse with kids' baseball unis is the cotton shirts, nylon pants and knee-high acrylic socks.

Nice in early season when the weather turns cold. In June, the kids swelter and the Under Armor-type shirts are worth the money for them.
