The wife and I and the baby are planning a trip to Milwaukee (OK, I'm planning it, we're all going).

First and foremost, we're going to Miller Park to see a ball game.

Other than that, what can we do? What should we do?

Keep in mind we're not spending more than four days in the city. And we have a baby.

So, parks, museums, tours, trails, etc. are what we're looking to do/see. I'm up for anything really, as long as it can accommodate a baby - a relatively well behaved baby.

The city of Milwaukee's website sucks by the way.

PS - We're also going to NYC and Shea. And hey, it's the wife who wants to do the traveling with the baby. Not me.

Go to whatever lakefront festival is going on. You will not be sorry.

Eat lots of these. Like pretzels in bars in the other 49, cheese curds are that in Wiscaaaaaansin.

Went there for a Brewers game last year. Fiancee and I wound up having Sunday brunch at Mader's downtown just by wandering around. It was a fun time - very old school German and touristy seeming, but enjoyable. Their website is http://www.maders.com/

Mader's is very good, but Karl Ratzsch's is better.

Milwaukee Art Museum is a good optioni on the lakefront.

I'm a big fan of the Residence Inn in Brookfield; it's a group of buildings sitting in the middle of a golf course.

I've been surfing the Interwebs and did you all know Milwaukee is home to the International Clown Hall of Fame and America's oldest sanctioned bowling alley? Also, I'm going to tour the Pabst Mansion - yes, THAT Pabst Blue Ribbon Pabst!

The Lamberts aren't too far away. Give J.T. and Cody a ring. They'll keep you entertained for hours.

Knock on the door of the Milwaukee Brewers and tell them you can't possibly be any worse than Ned Flanders Yost.

Seriously. Do that. You're Pete ****ing Incavilglia.

The Milwaukee County Museum isn't bad. Neither is the historic museum. If you've got little kids, the zoo is very good.

Milwaukee is awesome for food. For example, you get good pizza and eggplant at Balistereri's on 68th Street in Wauwatosa. But really, you should just go hang out in a neighborhood bar. That's where you get the soul of the place.

I love visiting Wisconsin. Sounds cheesy (no pun intended), but I'm impressed by the civic pride. People in Wisconsin like being in Wisconsin. If not for the stupid-long winters I'd live in Madison in a heartbeat.
