Well ...

Sports Journalists Forum – Media, Newsroom & Reporting Talk

Help Support Sports Journalists Forum:

When I was like 10, I had that made-for-TV movie taped on VHS and watched it over and over. I was so intrigued.

AP article reports that now that she's 25, she can get her hands on an $800,000 trust fund from donations that came in while she was in the well.

I remember how much that dominated the news way back when. I shudder to think how the 24-hour clowns would handle it today.

They would probably cut the cable to keep her down there a while longer...

No one asked her to do color commentary from Chile?

Geez, I made a Chilean miner/Baby Jessica joke in the office last night and was chastised for it. It's good to know that at least one other person out there shares my twisted sense of humor.

Great headline for the thread title![/rhody]

Sad part is, I didn't get it at first ...

How about "All's well that ends well"

Headlines are serious business, tyvm. Please stick only to factual things in headlines. "Woman Who Fell Into Well When She Was A Baby Is Now Rich And Her Dad Is Only 42, Like In Hitchhiker's Guide To The Galaxy."

What does she look like now?

I am a little disappointed that almost 4 hours after this post, none of you journalists have uncovered a picture of her yet. :)
