National homicide rates are down --there were 605 last year, down from 663 the year before.
Rate is 1.85 per 100,000 (compared to 5.7 in the US)
Homicide shootings are down substantially.
But Dumbass Prime Minister decides that we need to get "tough on crime" and has told Parliament that he won't accept amendments on his new bit of legislation--or it will trigger a federal election.

Talk about appealing to the lowest common denominator.
Problem is the Liberals cannot win with Marcel Dion as leader.
We'll take back anyone--including Frum & Celine--if you take Harper off our hands.
