I figure since we're all probably feeling the wallet-crunch a little bit this year, we can share some tips. I'll start.

Dr. J and I thought about dropping a bunch of cash on Syracuse/Georgetown tickets and having a nice dinner but nixed it.

Instead, I'm going to make chocolate-covered strawberries, pick up the cheap champagne that we both like and DVR the game while he's at work. He'll probably make dinner later and we'll pick up a DVD from Redbox.

V-Day on a budget is GREAT if you're single!

But if I had a lady, it'd be a fine dinner in cooked by me. Probably my go-to dinner of shrimp scampi.

**** the flowers.

See, the good thing is that my hand doesn't expect a gift. Now ol' lefty, well. We'll just keep ol' lefty in the bullpen.

I have two shows on V-day so me and the fella are celebrating on Monday with tickets to see our favourite Junior hockey team play. Tickets are really cheap and seeing a game together has become a real luxury. 8)

Unless it takes a while. Then?
Threesome!

FJ: Roll the chocolate-covered strawberries in powdered sugar. He will be yours forever.

Trust me on this one. :D

Super Nintendo. I'm hanging out with Pat and Vanna, and I'm gonna win me the grand prize.

Single and working ... sounds like a cheap way to spend V-Day.

I'll probably spend more money Saturday grabbing a dinner between games and running a couple errands than I would have if I had a valentine.

That said, it would either be a homemade meal with strawberries and chocolate dipping sauce (good call, FJ) and a fire in the fireplace and/or dinner at this cute BYOB (bringing the cheap wine!) jazz club I dig. Of course, the date I'd like to take isn't nearby, so ... off to work and errands for ducky. :P
