Thank God there's no History of Islam course, or comparative religion course, in most high schools.

How would we present Muhammad? Would we include his marriage to Aisha, when she was just six years old. (Oh, but don't worry about it. He didn't consummate the marriage until she was nine-year-old.)

If the 'Mericans down in Oklahoma want some respect show to the forefathers, they're going to have to blow up a few defamers, not just try and cancel a class.

YF, I gather it has been a while since you dealt with the educational system ... but generally speaking, child rape is not something that high schools typically deal with in any history cases. Child rapes of thousands of years ago, somewhat less so even.

"In 2015, President Obama said, "We are not at war with Islam." No one else had ever actually said that, but it was hailed as important because, well, America was terrible until about 2008 or so, and by 2015 President Obama was well on his way to saving the country. He would go on to become a selfie stick advocate in his post-presidential years. Meanwhile, Islamic extremism was eradicated when former President Obama successfully lobbied for the Hearts and Minds Selfie Stick Act of 2023, as all radicals simultaneously put down their arms and put aside any mean thoughts upon receiving free selfie sticks from the U.S. government. Since then, beheadings have been replaced by embarrassing photos taken at jihadist reunion gatherings and posted on the Universal Internet, which is run by former President Obama's National Selfie Association."

But what happened thousands of years ago is relevant to any discussion of history. Did you never learn about the Crusades?

Is Sally Hemings included in the new history books?

"While ISIS was trying to take over the Middle East and wantonly beheading and burning alive innocent hostages, America's greatest president, Barack Obama, was filming commercials with the greatest invention of the 21st century -- the selfie stick. Those commercials promoted Obama's Affordable Health Care Act, which was the selfie stick of federal legislation. Before President Obama and the rise of selfies, America generally sucked. Ultimately, the ACA was extended throughout the world, which was great for all the non-insured global citizens who survived beheadings and burnings."

Is this an argument for getting rid of AP History?

The Republicans have allowed their wacko fringe elements to destroy the party from the inside. They will pay for it for years to come.

Yeah, that beating they took last November was really something.

Well, Jesus is celebrated even though God hooked up with a married woman.

What were you saying about it only being "LIBRULLS" only wanting to control thought?

I see the distraction crew is hard at work, which is funny because both sides of the aisle seem intent on making targets of public education in one way or another.

Well, you can have plenty of good teachers and still have a generally underachieving educational system.

Our Founding Fathers were clearly altruistic. That's why the Constitution recognized blacks as citizens; gave everyone vote, even those who didn't own property, or were women; and why the Senate was an elected body, not one comprised of members appointed via graft, patronage, nepotism or outright bribery.

Oh wait, you mean none of that happened at the Constitutional Convention?
