Yeah! You can give me a report. (Can you????)Bookmarking because I'm heading down there in about 10 days to visit family.
Thanks! Pizza joint sounds interesting and my wife just opened a bakery so we'll probably hit the croissants place, too.DiCarlo's Pizza Myrtle Beach – Delicious Pizza and More Interesting pizza, they cook the dough and sauce and then throw the cheese on and close the box! Had no idea when I went there the first time. They say they will brown it for you if you want. Also had it with 4 items, also very good. Crunchy crust. I will probably try to get there all 4 times I visit.
Welcome to Croissants Myrtle Beach Bistro & Bakery | Two locations in MB Fancy little place with a nice menu.
http://www.abuelos.com/ A chain, but I figure if they don't have them where I live it's not a chain.
http://cafeoldvienna.com/ German, very good.

Anybody been to the seafood buffets? Worth going to ?
Saw a billboard touting a Paula Deen restaurant at one of those. good fried chicken. My only (non golf advice) is visiting the Bowery for a beer or five. This was the place Alabama cut its teeth back in the 1970s, and it still looks the same. Likely the only authentic thing in MB.
That being said barefoot landing and Broadway at the Beach are good places for shopping and avoiding the derelicts. Totally a tourist place, but clean and safe place to spend a few hours.
I'll bet it doesn't suck to have your own family bakery now. Thanks! Pizza joint sounds interesting and my wife just opened a bakery so we'll probably hit the croissants place, too.
Well, I have to resist sampling all the sweet stuff and we're not making as much money as we want but it's less than five months since we opened. But things are starting to pick up now that she's making bread every day. It was a helluva investment, about $60K just to get it up and running. Her stuff is really good and I don't have to say that since she doesn't read SJ.com! We just shot a commercial that's going to start airing on Thursdays. Hopefully that helps the bottom line. Holidays should help, too.I'll bet it doesn't suck to have your own family bakery now.
My wife is a Paula Deen fan so I can see a stop there being part of the agenda.Saw a billboard touting a Paula Deen restaurant at one of those. good fried chicken.

Was at a Brazilian steakhouse in Chicago. Was very cool and food was great. I think I saw Captain Benjamin's on Myrtle Beach's visitor site.DiCarlos is a chain, orginated around Stuebenville Ohio, I think. Not a fan.
Captain Benjamin's and Calabash are good. It's $40/$50 a person.
Riot is cool is you like meat and never been a Brazilian Steakhouse before.
Just a quick note on the bakery. She could probably add some customers if she included some low/no salt items. https://www.etsy.com/shop/DailyBreadLowSodiumThanks! Pizza joint sounds interesting and my wife just opened a bakery so we'll probably hit the croissants place, too.
I'll let her know. She does gluten-free and sugar-free items by request.Just a quick note on the bakery. She could probably add some customers if she included some low/no salt items. https://www.etsy.com/shop/DailyBreadLowSodium
We have stopped in Mt. Airy twice, once on the way to Florida, once on the way to Myrtle. Can't offer much other than the beer at the massive truck stop next to the Best Western was good and ****ing cold.Just giving this a boost. Trip is in nine days. By the way, anyone been to Mount Airy, N.C. (Mayberry!) We're stopping there the first night and it's the last day of Mayberry Days. Big Andy Griffith fan. I think I'm looking forward to that more than Myrtle Beach.
I ordered one online to wear there! A Barney Fife shirt too.Haven't been to Mount Airy in 20-plus years, but I regret not holding onto the "Pink Floyd Deep Purple" T-shirt I got there.
Sorry to hear that. I called our hotel yesterday (it's right on the ocean) and was told they didn't get hit hard and everything is fine. Looking forward to the trip. A lot. Although my wife is getting a bit nervous; two of her bakery employees quit, including one loser who gave us no notice. Just cleaned out her stuff after we were closed and left her key on the table. Didn't say anything until my wife texted her. Complained she didn't get enough hours. Keep in mind this is the same person who couldn't come in to decorate a cake because she had to -- wait for it -- go grocery shopping! The other woman is at least staying until we return.I would offer them up, but trip was canceled in anticipation of Irma creaming the place. Have fun.
