Timmmah was doing his regular Thursday morning gig on The Score-790 in Providence via his cell phone when he got busted for speeding near the Delaware River (unclear which state). While Tim is continuing to discuss A-Rod's contract on his cell, the trooper curtly informs him he's been clocked at 72 in a 50 zone (she didn't sound like a baseball fan, either). In the back of the van are his teenage daughter (near or at driving age) and her friend.
Tim will never have another argument with his daughter without getting this incident thrown in his face, I'll guess. Now we know where his talk radio guest fees for the week will be going...

As someone who has done many a radio interview while driving, it's amazing when you look down and realize you're going about 15 MPH faster than you thought you were...

I just got a new blue-tooth device since moving to DC, where it is illegal to talk on your cell phone while driving, and they can even bust you for using the ear-piece. The thing I got clips on to your visor and is basically a mic and a speaker right above your head, and the sound quality is great in both directions. The only drawback is that it you look like you are talking to nobody from the outside.

I use my speakerphone for just about everything when I'm driving, with one of the exceptions being when I'm doing a radio interview...

I'm guessing 17 around Middletown. It's about 60 minutes north of the city, and it swims with cops.

About as irresponsible and reckless as you could be, just to get on the radio.

He was probably on 95 going through Delaware. They patrol the **** out of that stretch and slow it down between Maryland and Joizee.

Apparently Kurkjian couldn't talk his way out of the ticket by regaling the cop with tales of the '88 Orioles.

Why couldn't this happen to one of ESPN's other analysts? I know it's a minor thing, but I like Kurkjian a lot.

I would love to have Sean Salisbury get pulled over and overhear his egotistical ass exclaim on air, "Don't you know who you're ****ing with? I'm Sean ****ing Salisbury! Haven't you seen me on ESPNews pwning John Clayton? That **** ain't faked, pal, it's real. I've kicked Clayton in the nuts eight times and Ed Werder five times ... I swear to God I have, so don't think I'll think twice about going Ali Haji-Sheikh on your privates just because you have a badge and a gun.

I'd be a registered weapon ... if I bothered to register. But I'm a renegade, that's how I roll. I carried a clipboard in the NFL, but I sharpened the sides, so when Wade Wilson or Rich Gannon walked by Salisbury, he was gonna get cut, no and's, if's or ****ing buts about it. I don't give a ****.

I noticed you have a chick partner. Hook me up with her cellie, my Salisbury steak practically makes love to phone cameras. She's a bit matronly, but the Salisbury steak isn't discriminating. Is there some private police band I can transmit my third-string trouser mouse over? I've never beamed my schlong over a police phone and I need to cross it off my list of Cool **** Only Sean Salisbury Can Do. So why don't you tear that ticket up and let me work it, OK, Serpico?"

Something like that.

There are no cops in Delaware, just one spot. You can cruise I-95 pretty well through the small wonder.

I gotta know, did you have to look up the spelling of Ali Haji-Sheikh?

Nope. I can spell that one from memory. Paradoxically, I have to look up ex-Patriots kicker John Smith though.

That's why God created cruise control.

Why would you want to kick short to his privates? I don't get it.
