Good show. They teased us all at the end with one scenario (I won't spoil it for others) but I wish I knew at least a little bit more of the background. Good acting, good use of design, lighting and camera angles, but it is odd to see Chi McBride with a little bit of hair after his FOX high school show.

At the end, I kept going back through my head counting the players and kept coming up with 8. Checking the website, apparently the sister is part of the group, since the season is a series of flashbacks. Except, too, the hostage taker is included in all the promo photos. Would figurte his life changed too. "This will just take five minutes."

I agree, though these milk-one-storyline-for-a-whole-series shows are a trend right now. They seem to fail more often than not. As for The Nine, last night's show was captivating, but we'll see if it lasts.

Speaking of which, thank you, Kidnapped, for playing; we've got some lovely parting gifts. To its credit, NBC is sticking with the original 13-episode order so the writers can resolve the story. Hopefully, Dana Delany will be back on the screen soon.

Not me. Gilligan was lost for quite a few years, as I recall.

It's hard to get invested in these shows that start like this.

Lost ... I had to be talked into that show like 25 times before I grabbed the DVD set and hooked in. With "The Nine", it's like starting all over again. I'll keep watching. The show is on a short leash with me, though.
