The moon

Just got home from work and while i am driving, i see something weird on the horizon. Turns out it was the moon, but i have never seen a crescent that low on the horizon. I wish i could have gotten a picture of it. Anyone see anything like this before?

Watching it rise over the ocean at night (full moon that is) is pretty damn cool. Starts off as a speck of fire, then gradually looks as big as the sun coming up over the water. Incredible.
