I'm in Las Vegas for the weekend. First thing I see in town is a billboard for one of the hotel's production of The Producers, starring-wait for it-David Hasselhoff. I couldn't tell if he's doing the Matthew Broderick part or the Nathan Lane part.

I think she meant this Kit:

not this Kit:

Maybe he's playing the Zero Mostel or the Gene Wildwer part.

Am I the only one worried about OTD being in Vegas and still posting on here? Damn it, it's Las Freakin' Vegas, don't post again until you're back home!!!

Very good point.

The Hoff is playing a secondary role (not the Lane or Broderick parts), but in culturally illiterate Las Vegas, they have to use whatever lowbrow drawing power possible to get both tourists and locals to give the show a chance. And The Hoff is all about lowbrow drawing power.

Avenue Q and Hairspray both folded after short runs, and Mamma Mia, though more successful, already announced an end date as well. They're going to give Spamalot a run at Wynn, but if Avenue Q couldn't make it, I can't see how Spamalot will.

Spamalot will be a Moose Murders-level bomb, in LV. One signature song (certain to offend half the serious money in Vegas), and a lotta cheap tricks from the Python archives. Next.

To all who were worred I might not be using my time in Vegas wisely, I posted while waiting for the shuttle to take me to the art museum. After that, I took the Boulder *** tour, then went back to my hotel to watch High School Musical on the Spectravision. While doing that, I ordered cookies and milk sent up from room service. That is all.
