And of course Judge homers in his first AB. Thanks, Farhan!

No idea what to make of the Giants this year. Starting pitching looks solid and defense improved, but wonder how much punch they have in the lineup.

Sounds like he's going to be extended, but...

His best signing was a one-and-done Rodon. Peterson is fine. Conforto and Haniger TBD. The farm system has produced jack to date and it doesn't look like much help is coming.

Conceding that Judge was never coming here, they went hard for him and Correa only to see those fall through and anyone else of consequence got scooped up in the mean time so there was no Plan B.

There's no one you come to the ball park murmuring about watching that day. A) because they don't exist and B) if they do, they'll be out by the fifth inning because of hockey line changes. The most exciting things they've done have been for former players.

KNBR is doing yeoman's work trying to get people hyped to listen to games, but anyone not affiliated with the team is saying this team is going to be mediocre and an also ran compared to the Mets, Braves, Phillies, Cardinals, Dodgers and Padres. The caveat being anyone can fall on their faces or rise up, but there's nothing to suggest the team will make up the ground from last year.

Aaron Judge is currently on pace to hit 570 home runs this season.

Justin Verlander to the IL before ever throwing a pitch for the Mets. Even by their standards that's some dark, dark ****.

Not walking thru that dugout door?

Dan Patrick made a good point this morning, why are the Angels scheduled to open in Oakland at 7 p.m. PDT instead of a better time and a better opponent to showcase Shohei Ohtani? Obviously, they couldn't have known the bump he'd get from the WBC and the Angels are the Angels, but MLB continues to be awful at marking their players.

MLB: The WBC is the biggest ****ing thing ever! Also, watch the title game on FS1.

MLB: Why won't anyone watch our games? Also, we only have one game on national TV on Opening Day.

MLB: Why won't anyone watch our games? Also, we only have four games on Friday.

Rob Manfred is an idiot.

Echoing the comments above from the cold region fans, why aren't both Oakland and LA hosting upper midwest teams?

Exactly. I just went looking for the Braves game and it's not on here. JFC
