This is almost unbelievable.

A Venezuelan man who had been declared dead woke up in the morgue Friday after medical examiners in Caracas began his autopsy.

Carlos Camejo, 33, was declared dead after a highway accident and taken to the morgue, where examiners began an autopsy only to realize something was amiss when he started bleeding.

They quickly stitched up the incision on his face.

I woke up because the pain was unbearable," Camejo said, according to a report the El Universal newspaper.

Reuters could not immediately reach hospital officials to confirm the events.

But Camejo showed reporters his scar and a document ordering the autopsy.

Ha!

And just so no one thinks this only happens in third-world countries ... I covered a guy who got hit by a car while walking along the road with three friends. One of the EMTS put a sheet over him thinking he was dead. The coroner was walking toward the sheet when the man sat up ...

Man, to say that would suck is an immense understatement.

What a hell of a way to get woken up.

Does Michael Moore want us on Venezuela's medical system by any chance?

What's the old Dennis Miller joke about the worst that could happen to a coroner?

Jesus, honey, I gained one on the table today.
