Per rotoworld...knock yourself out, folks. :D

Steelers signed RB Najeh Davenport.

The team cut Patrick Cobbs to make room. Davenport's presence immediately makes Duce Staley expendable or useless. If Dookie can stay healthy, he could cut into Willie Parker's touches near the goal line. He's worth a roster spot in most fantasy leagues.

Duce isn't going anywhere. Cowher will never go into any week knowing Parker might get hurt and he'd have to use Najeh and Haynes as his only backs.

And Najeh sucks, BTW.

So do the Steelers still have to give the Pats a draft pick? He was traded for a conditional choice.
He dropped the ball a couple of times, but he showed enough in the preseason to merit a prominent place on the Pats' developmental squad (if he doesn't get scooped up for somebody else's active roster first).

Anyone wonder whether Najeh immediately becomes the Steelers' short-yardage/goal-line back?

****in' better not...

I'm counting on a big year from Willie Parker on my fantasy team.

I suppose I shouldn't worry too much; Najeh should be injured by Week 3 at the latest.

He might become their dump-off back on third down.

I bet Bill Cowher is hoping he'll SQUEEZE out some yards on third down.

Nah, it's a lot more likely that he'll become their scatback.
