The News-Herald in Willoughby, Ohio, is seeking an individual to design pages 3 to 4 days a week, and cover high school sports.
Candidates must have previous design and writing experience, and the ability to handle more than one project at a time. Experience using Quark and QuarkXpress is a plus.
Responsibilities include designing sports pages, including an occasional sports front, editing copy, and covering high school sports beats and other various writing assignments.

Several possibilities:

1) Never filled. Given JRC's Code Blue financial condition, by far the most likely. They have to get permission from the head honchos to buy a roll of toilet paper (on the rare occasions they buy rolls of toilet paper).

2) Filled, and new hire has already been fired/laid off (especially after moving cross country/out of state to accept the position; frequently only days before the 90-day probation period is over). Standard operating procedure for JRC.

3) Filled, and new hire has already had enough of their bull**** and quit in rage/horror/disgust.

None of the above. This is a former shop of mine, so I know many people there, and this spot was filled months ago. It was a heck of a job getting somebody in there quickly amid the JRC bloodbath.
