The Reporter & Farmer, an award winning weekly newspaper seeks a full time reporter to cover sports, meetings and everything in between. The newspaper is in the heart of Glacial Lakes Region offering great fishing and hunting. The reporter will work with our other reporter to produce stories and pages. ID, IC, PS, Bridge. The position includes layout of pages as well as other aspects of working at a weekly. We offer health insurance after the probationary period. A 3% match on a simple IRA after two years. The newspaper puts a strong emphasis on family first. As a weekly newspaper reporter your job goes beyond reporting to helping customers either in person or on the telephone. Our current writer is a winner of SD Outstanding Young Journalist and has been with us for more than five years. The position is to fill a recently vacated job, who was with the paper close to four years. During that time he received the Outstanding Young Journalist award. We will train the right applicant. We are in the heart of the Glacial Lakes Region offering some of the best fishing and hunting opportunities. We also offer incentivies for first place stories, column and photos at our state convention.
