What the hell is the problem at East Lansing? Don't you guys have spring break or something?

I thought for sure this was because the women's basketball team lost to Marquette in the WNIT.

Turns out it's just Cedar Village bein' Cedar Village.

Sparty On, Dudes!
Two dumpsters bit the big one -- but no couches for a change...

Most times when you see a glow of lights in the distance you have to assume it's a big city.

When you're driving by East Lansing, you have to wonder if the city's up in flames.

They're finally getting back at Mitch Albom for the St. Louis debacle. Could he accurately portray this story?

Are you kidding?
He could write this one in his sleep.

Sparty: Preventing Florida and West Virginia fans from having the least class among college student bodies since 1890 - or whenever that sorry-ass excuse for a state school in East Lansing was established.

I thought this was going to be a thread about Thermopylae.

Come home with your flaming couch, or on it.

Back in the '80s, East Lansing used to have a big block party every spring called Cedar Fest.

Too many people got drunk and the city eventually axed it. But this past fall, some people decided to create a facebook group and 7,000 people RSVP'D to the party.

It obviously was set up to coincide with the men's final four, but on its own it was bigger than the '05 riot.

And I'm sure since the students were able to basically create a riot out of nothing but a facebook group this year, it will now be an annual event.

The same spiel is taking place with VEISHA at Iowa State. Every year some well meaning students are trying to make VEISHEA a respectable celebration. It doesn't last long as the rest of the ISU students go ape ****, loot Welch Avenue, and the Ames cops have to start beating their asses and do everything to axe VEISHEA once and for all.

As Cleaves and Richardson look around in this sea of burning couches wearing their school colors...

And this was Cedar Fest, in all its glory...
