Just saw that Jude Law's hosting next week with musical guest Pearl Jam.

Hope they have PJ start one of their performances with a few seconds of lip-synching an Ashlee Simpson song, then have the band act embarrassed then start playing their own song.

Just noticed something weird. During the Will Forte song... when they do the one-shot, there's a US map behind him with the states separated. When they go to a two-shot with Seth, though, the world map doesn't have the US states separated. What the hell...? Taped?

Back in November, I started watching The Wanda Sykes Show on Fox and then switch over to SNL after Wanda is over. I end up missing the first 30 minutes of SNL, but it's well worth it since The Wanda Sykes Show is 10 times funnier than SNL. Wanda has the funniest late night show on TV. Anyone else here watch Wanda Sykes?

Yeah, I've been watching, too. Pretty funny. Good one tonight when Greg Giraldo called her out on the band-member uniform. "Okay, we can go there, motherf*cker." Good stuff.

Though, each week I wonder: Is Porsche (or Portia, or however it's spelled) really a dude?

Much of the monologue was from Galifanakis' stand-up act. That's why it was actually funny.

The Today Show skit was funny. Galifanalkis in the background was funny.

Most of the show sucked, as usual.

Correction: The Galifanakis part of the Today Show skit was funny. The rest of that skit -- WIIG!!! -- was horribly unfunny.

So, is the Beard fake or real?

The last sketch showed Zach G. with a thick mustache but no facial hair. The end of the show, on the stage, he was back with the beard.

I'd give the episode a gentleman's C, parts were funny, most was stupid.

There are two maps. The divided U.S. map was over Forte's right shoulder and the smaller, non-divided North and South American continents was between them.

The hot spot lately seems to come after the first commercial. There've been a couple of tasteless but really funny sketches there recently - the funeral last night and the will reading with Ashton Kutcher as the pool boy having a fling with dead grandma.

The beard during the closing credits was fake - there's a Behind the Scenes clip on Hulu of Zach shaving his beard during Vampire Weekend's second song.

Zach was funny - but that's about it.

Kind of disappointed they didn't do an card noting the death of T-Bone Wolk who was in the band for several years.

I just watched the episode.
What's up with That and Galifinakis popping up on other TV shows saved a pretty mediocre showing.

Is this the last place in the western hemisphere where SNL is still discussed regularly?
What kind of ratings are they getting?

This matchup would have been very popular in 2004.

(Editor's note: This does not mean I don't appreciate Jude Law or Pearl Jam.)
