spot on All Canadian Team

From the SportsJournalists.com satellite office in lovely Medicine Hat, Alberta, affectionately known as The Gas City, the following alleged Canadians have been named to The 2006 SportsJournalists.com All Canadian team:

JR
Jones
ballscribe
Friend of the Friendless
Double J

The following purported Canucks earned Honourable Mention honors:

HC
Huggy
beef03
Sea Bass
Flash

I wish soccer dad was still here. He definitely would have bumped me out. ;)

What's that lineup worth in American money?

****.

This post is useful without pictures.

Here, but you have to squint.

A lineup, I'd say, that compares favorably, legend-wise:

Damn, a bridesmaid again! Congrats to the first team - even JJ who can't decide what nationality he is!

I'm an Americanadian. True north strong and free, and the home of the brave. :)

I guess that's OK, but any lineup of mine would include room - somehow - for HC and Huggy.

If you weren't in Toronto, it would be difficult to comprehend how welcome we were all made to feel. Jones was also a scream and a couple of special guests were the highlight of another night.

And seriously ... where else can I possibly forget to wear my nametag and be completely stealth in an elevator?

Good to know at least someone appreciated the Hockey Hall Of Fame passes! :)

Once again, in the true American tradition, I didn't vote.

But as much as I like JR, my no. 1 spot on my All-Canadian roster would have gone to Huggy. It's hard to find someone whose knowledge of obscure music matches mine. Anyone who wants to travel the country to see Honeymoon Suite wins my vote.

It'll be a fine, fine day when Huggy makes the All-Canadian team. :D

Woman, you are in SOLID company.

I never knew Huggy was Canadian. The name doesn't even sound foreign.

Absolutely. Usually, I despise having my photo taken but I've got one with the Cup (Hi PaperDoll!). Also had to stake out where they're putting Ron Francis' souvenirs. :)
