I was unclear about that, too. There were two guys that the rabbi asked to worship armed. I think the other guy may have been the one that discharged. It seems like the other guy doesn't want any fame and hasn't talked about it.

Instead of the shooter, let's have some attention on the hero:
Family of slain UNC Charlotte student: We're 'beyond proud' of his actions
How selfless.
If collectively we all started telling the violent and the irrational that their behavior is unacceptable, maybe, just maybe we don't have to give up but can instead take back our country/world.

Story on the AP wire about the hero's body getting a police escort from Charlotte to Waynesville in the mountains. And those writers will take that story home. Easily.
