The only differences between this one and the one just ending is that this is one week only and I will not publish who voted for who... PM me your picks. I'll give until Noon next Friday for results.

1. Best big newspaper in the country
2. Worst big newspaper in the country
3. Best major-market columnist
4. Worst major-market columnist
5. Best sports editor
6. Worst sports editor
7. Other than the Seattle PI, what will be the next major paper to fold?
8. If I could work at any paper in the country, it would be...
9. What you would change your major to if you could do it all over again?
10. Yes or No, would you encourage someone to go into journalism?

Re: One week only: Sheep, journalism version

How come someone vote for best and worst sports editor without working with them all? That's completely different than voting for your favorite/least favorite columnist.

On all the best/worst questions, are we talking about "active" journalists or all-time?

I know what you're doing is strictly for fun and all -- and I really am not trying to spoil the fun -- but the SE questions are still kinda bogus. Reputation? According to who?

Re: One week only: Sheep, journalism version

My answers 1-9: Who gives a ****?

Answer 10: Yes, but be smart about it and be versatile.

I'm not sure what purpose this poll has right now, Mizzou.

Do you think anyone's really concerned with who the best and worst columnists are? And to Sonner's point, best and worst SE's is in the eye of the beholder, it's an unanswerable question.

This isn't a ****-measuring time we live in.

Agreed, although it's possible to answer the majority of the questions without sounding like a ****, such as favorite and least favorite columnist and the last three questions.

Don't like it, don't play...

Re: One week only: Sheep, journalism version

And based on the number of PMs I've already gotten, people feel like playing...

We need something to get our mind off the misery that's going on...

Re: One week only: Sheep, journalism version

The purpose of the game is not to answer your conscience, either. It's like Family Feud; see if you can guess the most popular answer. No ****-measuring involved.

Another voice of reason. ;D

This will not fare well.

Their choices are flowing like mud. Maybe they're just busy.

Re: One week only: Sheep, journalism version

Sports editors, columnists and overall sections are trying to ruin their reputations as we speak so they can at least make it on this list.

Re: One week only: Sheep, journalism version

30 entries so far... Keep em coming... I think some people will be surprised...
