Fellas, having a problem shaving and it's freaking me out. I find myself shaving more as I get older. I'm shaving twice a day now and and to be honest, it's a pain in the ass. I long for the days of when I got that first good shave on Monday and wouldn't have to see a razor again until Wednesday.
Am I alone with this shaving problem? I am open for shaving suggestions.

Shave up not down, buy a better razor and buy better creme.
Here's the thing. I've changed razors, going with the new Quatro. I use edge, which I've always had good results with. Yet that five o'clock shadow comes every day and I never had it before.

I haven't tried it myself yet, but I've read a lot about the high quality shave you can get with a safety razor. From what I gather, the short-term costs are high, but you spend a lot less in the long run and you get a better shave than you do with the multiblade razors. This site has a pretty good rundown...

I'm one of those people who needs to shave twice a day if I'm working at night or if I'm going out. I'm usually OK, if I shave with my Gillette Fusion in the morning and then use an electric to maintain late in the day. I can't use the electric on its own, because it doesn't work on my neck.

You shave twice a day? Really?

I've never met anyone who does that. Ever. I only know a handful who shave every day, and most of those people are in the military.

I don't shave twice a day, but I probably should. I've been shaving daily since I was 12-13, which is funny because I've been balding rapidly since I was in my late 20s. When I was younger, I thought it was cool that I could grow sideburns very easily or grow a goatee in less than a week. Now, it's just a pain in the neck. :)

It's gotten to that point Ryan. I'm graying and thinning up top but the beard is coming full blast on a daily basis.

I remember reading about this procedure in GQ when I was about 21 (I'm now 33) and I wanted to get it done and just leave my goatee. I hate shaving that much.
