Didn't see this posted anywhere else:

That sound you hear is the collective erection of SJ Masturbation Nation weeping.

I always thought Venus was cute. I'm not big on beached whales.

We'll have to agree to disagree.

I think Serena is kinda hot. Never liked Venus.

Jane magazine?

Ceased publicaton last week.

So is this a hoax?

More likely it's the result of the suddeness with which Conde Nast closed Jane magazine. Nobody knew but the suits. Editorial comes in on Monday morning as usual - and by Monday afternoon they're all being walked out of the building.

This story is probably from a press release that was sent out prior to that.

Not a hoax. There is one final issue in production:

Noooooooooooooooooooo! That's my favourite magazine. Now I must mourn.

That said ... it has changed an awful lot since Pratt left.

It's changed a lot, but there's still some good stuff in it.

I guess there was a major, major revolt when they put Jessica Simpson on the cover.

IMHO, there was no way that mag was going to survive without its namesake.

Agreed. Jane gave it some edge with class. It has gone dipsy and pushes too many limits now. She always tried to keep it away from the typical 20-something women's magazine (I can't even read Cosmo anymore because it's way too young for me).

Jane Goodall?
Seriously, this is the first time I've heard of this mag? Jane Who?

Jane Pratt, also founded the late, great Sassy, a teen mag, that went belly up after she left. I was super pissed when that subscription changed to ****ing Seventeen.

And I quit reading Jane when Fergie appeared in it. **** that *****.
