So does Tennessee not make the NCAA Tourney now?
I said at lunch a couple days back that the SEC was going to give the selection committee fits. I think that still holds.
What if LSU gets the automatic bid? What if Arkansas makes a run to the finals? What if Tennessee gets knocked out in the first game? What if Georgia ends up in the finals?
If the SEC ends up with only four bids, and two are already taken by Florida and Vanderbilt, it could get odd.

I can't think of a team that was in the top 25 heading into its conference championship that didn't make it. UT is in.

Depends on what else happens in the run... If two teams play in the SEC final -- say Arkansas and LSU -- that have no business being there, then Tennessee is gone.

Damn it! The ACC's in Tampa. Whatever. Shut up.
Those of us in Tampa will heed your advice.
As Chris Rock said, there's no sex in the champagne room.

Hey if you're in Tampa, hang out at the Mons Venus until you see a player or a coach (or both) doing something inappropriate with a "dancer". Get some quotes, file a breaking news story and you're a star! A star!

You can thank me later for the tip.

Are you guys who say Tennessee is on the bubble serious? With those wins, 10-7 in the SEC with that loss to LSU? Huh? The Vols were 9-4 with Lofton in SEC play including that loss. They beat Memphis, Texas and OK State in out of conference play and lost at Ohio State in the final seconds.

Are you serious? If Tennessee's not in, then Duke's not in.

Vols still No. 11 in the RPI this morning. Not only are they in, but they'll have a pretty good seed.

...EDITED to fix RPI from 7 to 11...

Sorry, man, I don't need to. I'm just not a huge SEC West fan this season. This from someone who picked LSU to the Final Four last season.

I'm not a fan of the SECW, either. But LSU could beat a lot of people playing like it did last night, and Miss. State can be dangerous with all that athleticism.

I'm with Hammer. Tennessee is way in and LSU is a threat to screw things up for five other SEC teams. I don't think it will happen because I just don't see them getting past the Gators playing a third consecutive day after a late night game.

Now if Georgia somehow beats Florida. . . naaah.

Has the board been down?
I tried numerous times today to get on here and ask -
HOW BOUT THEM DAWGS!

The gal doing the transcriptions in the front row ... smokin. My goodness.

I said something to Fuerte about that earlier. He wasn't as impressed as I was. He may be too young to have a taste for such an obviously sophisticated woman -- with great cans.

She did have great cans. And I was impressed by that. But other than that, not really my type. NOt saying I'd turn her down, though.

Upon further review, and face-to-face contact with said stenographer, I recant my prior statements. Not only is she my type, her cans are tremendous. Holy Fuerte! Smokin doesn't even come close to describing.

An SEC SID, during the press conference today when the moderator asked if there were any more questions, leaned into me and said, 'Yeah, a question for the lady doing the typing. Are they real?' Priceless.

It's almost hard to count how many ways this is wrong, alas.

Kentucky's in ... that's for sure.
What a comeback, in the face of all the SportsJournalists.com Tubby bashers.
Great game. Greatest for State, in the end.

Why? How is Duke's resume any better than UT's this year?

It's not.
But there is not a conceivable circumstance under which a Duke team that is more than two games over .500 misses the field.
That same cannot be said of Tennessee.

You're right, I suppose. I guess it's just another of the myriad reasons I hate Duke and Mike Krzyzewski.

I had to go home after "my" team lost ... but I so miss that stenographer.

She's sexy from top to bottom.

Pick a person -- first, second or third -- for your voice and stay with it....
Slappy and I don't like it when he has to watch someone describe themselves in several persons...
