I've only been to a strip club twice in my life, and both times were against my will.

The first time was at The Bear Chest -- I think -- in Beloit, Wisconsin, and the other one was either in Peoria, Illinois, or East Peoria.

I realize that by divulging this information, I run the risk of being banned from SportsJournalists.com for life.

Do to me what you will, but please, be fair and just.

Oh, don't get me wrong, I think strip clubs are pointless. I just went to a buddy's wedding in Portland the clubs we went to lived up to their billing. Plus, I think they have passed legislation in Seattle that you can't do lap dances anymore, so obviously their strip clubs suck.

Alcohol isn't allowed in strip clubs in Washington state. It is in Oregon.
So that's a strike against WA.

No lap dances and no alcohol? What's with that?

legislators have seen angola first-hand after eight beers.

I've only been to one strip club in Washington in my life and I was 18, so sorry TP. Anyway, the best strip clubs are in Texas, where you can bring your own alcohol in.

the one not far from the ballpark at arlington, the one where billy martin got his ass kicked by the marshmellow salesman, has some serious talent. it also charges -- or charged -- $7.50 for an atm withdrawal.

Damn!
I won't be going there in July, apparently.

I'm heading to Seattle for the first time in early August and plan to go to a Mariners game (Pyramid Brewery beer garden noted from earlier post). Anyone have any advice on the best places to hike? I'm sure Mount Rainer (sp?) is involved. Also, might try to go to Vancouver. Anyone with knowledge of cool attractions there?

Mount Rainier National Park is still pretty banged up from last winter's wind storms, so check in advance to see what's open and passable.
