I already have a pretty good idea how people are paid, but it's always interesting to look out. There used to be a site long ago - poisonkitchen.com - that had a great salary survey for journalists. Anyone else visit that site in its heyday? It was great. You could find papers by state and anonymously praise or shred them - kinda like here.

Just started by 22nd year at my current gig (plus 6 years previous at a bi-weekly).

My salary? 40 grand... pathetic, I know.

There's a couple of things I could have done better. It was a combination of doing it a bit too quickly and underestimating the number of veterans. I also wish I had done a few more categories in between 15 years and 25 years ...
