What a dumb ****ing douche bag.
The debate, as I understand it, is not over whether "tree bark" and "cardboard" are good to eat. We know they are. That's settled. End of that thread of debate.
The debate is over whether the government should influence eating habits, and to what degree.
What Michelle Obama eats at her dinner out has zero relevance. Also - and I regret feeling compelled to respond to the misdirection, but this is what he does, this is what he's good at - every nutrition article I've read for the last umpteen years recommends a "cheat day" each week, both to make it easier to adhere to your diet the rest of the week, i.e reward yourself, and from a functional level to recharge your metabolism. So there's nothing inconsistent with recommending that people eat "tree bark" and having a hearty meal on a night out. Nothing.
