I think I read in one of the stories about this that she's from the area and is a huge Cavs fan.

They met years ago when he was playing in an amateur tournament and she was waitressing. She grew up in Lucas, Ohio, a town of about 500 people. He was 17 and she was 19. Their first date was at a Columbus Applebees. They're definitely Ohioans (even though he's Aussie), not Cav courtside posers.

That's true, but he also moved to Palm Beach some time ago. It's rare for an active Tour player to choose to live in a northern city.

Fair point. Don't feel like looking it up right now, but I would guess that Day has a second home in Florida where he trains in whatever constitutes the offseason for golf these days.
