We're only a month away from spring training. But it's not too early to speculate on who will get there, and what the outcome will be like. I wonder if those late innings would have been different in the All-Star game's outcome if LaRussa hadn't had to act like a ****ing know-it-all. The home field advantage could be a huge factor.

Discuss.

The Kansas City Royals and Tampa Bay Devil Rays have been eliminated.

The Pirates are one game away from the same fate.

I'm pretty sure the Cubs have a chance to start winning a lot more games. They've made some pretty good pickups this fall/winter.

I agree I think the Cubs will have a good season. No other team has been as snake bitten as has the Cubs in the last few years. I for one would like to see them have a good season and make it to the World Series.

Bud Selig reviewed it, and the Cubs are still eliminated. They're the Cubs.

Baltimore and Seattle fans, your teams are out. Pittsburgh has also been eliminated. Colorado, the thin air evaporated your chances.

You need an editor.

Pittsburgh hasn't been in any kind of contention for at least 12 years. There is no such thing as playoff expectations for the Pirates anymore.

You gotta let this stuff play out, Cougar. MLB is a marathon, not a sprint. It ain't like ordering a burger from Chick and Ruth's.

I agree, I really could use an editor.

Admitting your mistakes is the first step, Indiansnetwork. :D

We'd offer to help but you have made it clear you don't like the sports media so we'll let you figure it out for yourself.

Spot on with this one.

And I will still contend that the Cubs have a chance. For Pallister's sake, I'll throw the White Sox out there, too. :D
