I watched Spinal Tap for the first time since college. Incredible work.

It’s easy to see how many things I’ve enjoyed have paid homage or copied Rob Reiner’s style from his movie that came out 40-plus years ago. Brilliant.

And what an amazing collection of talent, people who stood the test of time.

Reiner's movies contributed so much to popular culture worldwide with these quotes. "These go to 11," "You can't handle the truth!," "I'll have what she's having," etc.

Not to mention that The American President was pretty much spun off into The West Wing. More due to Sorkin's involvement in both, but there were more than a couple of actors who appeared in both. They were also shot very similarly.

Been hearing lots of speculation that it's money. I think Nick thought he was still rich and I think his siblings said no. You cannot use family money to pay for your defense.

Per Jerry Maguire, "Show me the money", "oh wait, there is none?, see you later". Little upside to representing Nick Reiner for free on this one. Now if it was Nick Reiner accused of murdering some outsiders, then the publicity may be worth it. But when it's his parents? Nope.
