RIP Ringling Brothers Circus

Is it weird that my wife and I didn't want to take our kids because we worried about the treatment of the animals and didn't want to give them our money, but now that they're closing, I kind of want to go just so my kids can see it once before it's gone and **** to hell with the animals?
It was better before you edited it, in my opinion.

Barnum and Bailey are pissed off by this thread.

Barnum and Bailey: Hall of Famers?

Circus time was wonderful around here. They paraded the elephants from the freight terminal to the Garden, they kicked out the Bruins for a couple weeks, I often got to go ...

I'm a bit more partial to Big Apple, though. I enjoyed seeing it in a smaller setting under the big top.

Long ago when I covered the Atlanta Hawks, the circus would take over the Omni for a couple weeks while the team hit the road. Apparently, the parking lot they used as the press lot -- in the back on the level below the ticketholder entrances -- was also where the circus parked its animal trailers for the duration, because the whole area smelled like elephants for weeks afterward.

Heard on Stephanopoulous' show this morning - "More members of the public are concerned about the closing of Ringling Brothers than about the Emoluments Clause."
