Former Nets player stuffed in a trash bag and buried in shallow grave:

http://nypost.com/2014/03/24/former-nets-player-found-dead-in-shallow-grave/

Cops said the disposal of his body raised suspicions of foul play,

I don't know. Sounds like irresponsible speculation there.

The mental picture of stuffing a dead body into a trash bag ...

* did they spin the bag closed then twisty-lock it?

* was it a Hefty™ bag?

* were those who stuffed him in the bag thinking "We're putting this guy ... IN A TRASH BAG!" and feel kind of weird about that?

* were there other options at the scene? sleeping bag? rug? bubble wrap?

* how large was the bag? 5-gallon? 10-gallon?

* did they double-bag him?

You live your whole life only to be stuffed into a garbage bag.

“Why did they bury him? What could he have done? Those bastards!” she wailed.

Watching South Park?

His grisly death mirrors the teams he played for, by and large:

Los Angeles Clippers: 147-181 (37-45, 47-37, 40-42, 23-59)

Memphis Grizzlies: 24-58

2 teams in '09-'10: Dallas Mavs (27G on 55-21 team), Washington Wizards (25G on 26-56 team)

New Jersey Nets: 24-58

The teams he played on won 42% of the time (276-380).

Yup.

Initial reports that the victim is former Nets basketball player Quinton Ross are incorrect, police said.
The victim, also named Quinton Ross was stuffed into a trash bag that was hidden in a patch of weeds midway between the water and the boardwalk at Beach 40th Street, cops said.

Nets pr staff breaths a sigh of relief. They really did not want to have to
plan a tribute for a player that 99 % of Net fans in Brooklyn had never heard
of.

Would've been a fitting end for a guy who made his living in garbage time.
