In other Grease news, I'm going to Grease 2 tonight at Bryant Park's movie night. Thinking there might be a bunch of T-Birds and Pink Ladies coming out now.

I committed my worst journalistic breach of ethics to see Olivia perform at Murfreesboro in 1982.
I was an intern at the Knoxville newspaper when I saw she was coming to the state. Still stinging from being placed in Row WW (it's exactly where it sounds like it would be) at the Omni for a Pat Benatar concert a few months before, I was determined to get decent seats for ON-J. But how?
I called the arena where she was performing, identified myself, and asked what would be the best way to get some good seats to her concert. "How about you give us a little publicity for the concert?" was the reply. Well, I was a sports intern, and Knoxville typically wouldn't advance a concert 180 miles away. But I said "OK" anyway.
So I wrote an advance, typeset it, pasted it on one of those cardboard pasteup sheets, put a 6-column head on it, complete with 1-column photo, made a copy of it to make it look like something that actually appeared in the paper, and sent it to the guy at the arena.
Two weeks later, three tickets are waiting for me at Will-Call. Fifth row. :)
Trying very hard, but not hearing it in his voice.Okay, one more bit of ONJ trivia: "Physical" was originally intended for a male artist and they offered it to.....Rod Stewart. He turned it down, and without changing the lyrics it ended up being a mega-smash for her.
Really? I mentioned this to my wife, who is crazy about Stewart, and she said it would have been perfect for him. And she snorted appreciatively when I told her the lyrics didn't even have to be changed for Olivia.Trying very hard, but not hearing it in his voice.
That is great.I committed my worst journalistic breach of ethics to see Olivia perform at Murfreesboro in 1982.

I loved that album, and I loved that album cover. She was unquestionably my first celebrity crush. This album cover is one of my earliest memories, from when I was four or five:

I'd put her on A1 anyway. Find a hole out there, and get at least a mug shot if you can't get something bigger. So, if it hadn’t been for the FBI raid … A1?
Enjoy Michelle Pheiffer before she was OHMYGAWD Michelle Pheiffer!!!!
