7x pro bowler, 2x All Pro and he isn't in the HOF yet? Am I missing something?
This is his fifth year of eligibility and he made the cutdown to 50 this week.
He has been on the initial list every time but never advanced -- the first four times they went straight to semifinalists. This is the first year they are narrowing to 50 first.

By this logic there have been only two hall of fame centers in 35 years, Kelce will make it three
Tinglehoff was a senior inductee in 2015 -- he was a five-time first-team all-pro and a second-teamer one, all in consecutive seasons and had to wait almost 40 years
Dawson earned six straight first-team all-pros, was on the 90s all decade team and had to wait three years just to be a finalist, then got in on the fourth try.
Mawae waiting three years to make it as a finalist and three years to get in.
