It's interesting to note that he died at age 50 of stomach cancer after admitting to taking various PEDS in the 80s...The timeline puts him about 10 years or so ahead of most of the "modern" juicers that we think of when we think of MLB and the NFL. Let's hope his fate is not a precursor to others.
 
I like it where he mentions everyone in the 80s did PEDs ... of course everyone except Greg LeMond.

The Times obit made him sound like a real ass.

I wondered when I saw the headline if PEDs were involved. But then it said stomach cancer & didn't talk about PEDs.

Then at the end, it mentioned he had been suspended twice for doping. And the questions came back.

'80's steroids were rough ****.
