RIP
Loved me some Buck Rogers when I was a kid. Hard to believe it only went for two seasons.

No, that’s definitely Buck Rodgers smokeshow Erin Gray.
Coffeeman is right. Erin Gray slinking around space was a big highlight.

Buck Rogers was on all the time in our house, my Dad watched anything sci-fi, but to be honest, I don’t remember who the bad guys were or how Buck became trusted, etc. For some reason, Galactica resonated more.

I remember his martial arts show Sidekicks as well. Once saw him and Gray at a comic book convention. RIP.

I had forgotten about Princess Ardala. Which then reminded me of Kane, one of Michael Ansara’s 1,000 TV appearances from the 60s to the 80s.

Loved this show as a kid. Especially the first season.

As an adult… not so much. They reused footage from Battlestar galactica, a lot of the episodes dragged on, and the plot lines often contradicted each other. Then there was the second season, which was bad except for the introduction of Hawk, the space vampire episode and the one where Buck turns into a demon.

It’s not one I’ve wanted to go back and watch. Just feels like it would not hold up at all.

I did love the sidekick robot. The way a 5 or 6 year old loves a sidekick robot.

We are all overlooking the swing and a miss of the opening dub.
"The year 1987, NASA launched the last of America's deep space probes."

Also, RIP Gil. That show was among my earliest TV memories.

Apparently a movie is in the works. Has potential, like the Rebooted Battlestar Galactica TV show.

New Remake Of NBC's 46-Year-Old Sci-Fi Swashbuckler Series Set From Deadpool & Wolverine Writer
The BSG reboot had Ronald Moore, who was a huge part of the writer's room when Star Trek: The Next Generation found it's stride, then the lead writer on Deep Space Nine. Zeb Wells is no Ronald Moore. Ask anyone who read his run on Spider-Man. Yuck.
