IU football trailblazer George Taliaferro dies at 91
I graduated from IU and lived in Bloomington for a couple years after graduation, and I'd often go the IU golf course alone and play with whoever. One day there was an older fellow on the tee with a white Ben Hogan-style cap. "Hi, I'm George." "I know who you are!" He had a bone-crunching handshake and hit the ball a ton, and couldn't have been nicer. We exchanged phone numbers and played a couple more times.
