All I can think of is all the cartoons with the crowd yelling "Norm" from the other side of the pearly gates.

I've always thought John Goodman got a lot of roles that Wendt might have landed otherwise.Wendt was only in his mid-40s when Cheers ended, I imagine as an actor wanting to keep working it had to be hard to shake that for a long time. But hopefully later in life he was able to enjoy the recognition and adulation. RIP, Mr. Peterson.
