Man, lousy day for the country music community. My parents were big fans of the classic country (Willie, Waylon) as well as Dolly Parton and Kenny Rogers, who would verge into pop territory. Don Williams was in that rotation when my folks would have the local radio station on. Always talked about how I hated that when I was a kid, but grew up to appreciate the talent in the genre.

Also, loved Williams' cameo in "Smokey and the Bandit II."
