From the sound of it, probably not. He was at the end of a long, 10- or 12-year slide and it might have just been a matter of time.
Just a sad, sad story. Seems like everything since he left college was a drunken disaster. Wonder if he was already heading down that path at Hawaii, or if it started later on?

I can’t believe I’ve forgotten his handle, but there was a big UGA fan on this board who got irrationally upset that Hawaii was ever invited to that Sugar Bowl, even years after the fact.
