Buddy Miles, the drummer in Jimi Hendrix’s Band of Gypsys and a hitmaker under his own name with the song “Them Changes,” died on Tuesday at his home in Austin, Tex. He was 60.

RIP Buddy. "Them Changes" is one of my favorite songs.

Mike Smith was one of the most underrated white-soul singers of our time.
And I'm going home tonight and listen to "Texas" by the Electric Flag in Buddy's memory.

I don't think Buddy Miles made it into the "best drummers" thread a few months ago. An unfortunate oversight.
I hope he didn't die being pissed at us for not mentioning him.
