Whenever I think of Andy Williams, I think of Nelson Muntz.

My parents used to watch his variety show all the time. I'm not much into his music, but man that guy could sing.

"I didn't think he was going to do 'Moon River' and then — BAM — second encore!" is one of my favorite Simpsons lines .

A reminder to remember the times of your life. R.I.P to a golden voice. I doubt he'll be meeting up with Claudine Longet

Any time I think of Andy Williams, I get a picture of Claudine Longet in my head. Wearing the short dress and the furry boots she had back in the day on Andy's show. Good times.

Can you imagine an Andy Williams-type being a big star today? Or Englebert Humperdink?

I've always enjoyed Moon River and Times of Your Life.

"Moon River" came out when I was 12. Every time I hear it I immediately think of Camilla Matthews, sister of one of my best friends and the first girl I ever had a serious crush on.

When HC & I went up to northern Ontario for our vacation, we swam in Moon River in Bala, Ontario. :)

RIP Andy Williams. You survived my varying musical tastes of five decades.

Used to be the "host" of the San Diego PGA tour stop, like Crosby at Pebble, Glen Campbell at Riveria, Hope at Palm Springs and Sammy Davis Jr in Hartford, Danny Thomas in Memphis and Jackie Gleason at Fort Lauderdale.

Also had a small piece of the Phoenix Suns when they entered the NBA. Saw him live once at the old Circle Star Theater in San Carlos ... with my parents, of course. But a great show ... RIP.

Anyone he could!

My favorite Sammy story, probably apocryphal but still, was that he was playing in a Pro-Am and they were trying to match up teams and someone asked Davis "what's your handicap?"

Davis' reply: "I'm a one-eyed black Jew. What do you mean 'what's my handicap?'"

Yes. They're called Harry Connick and Michael Buble
